- Penzance is also 8-miles or a short bus ride away and is good for; swimming in the Jubilee Pool Lido, walking on the prom, shopping or, together with neighbouring Newlyn, visiting one of the many galleries and artists studios.
- Mousehole has a picturesque harbour and a warren of traditional narrow streets to explore.
- Porthleven is a another picturesque harbour, these days known for its food, with top restaurants and annual food festival.
- The City of Truro with its magnificent cathedral is Cornwall's main shopping area is 25-minutes way - take in a show at the Hall for Cornwall.

- Go to Paradise Park and Jungle barn in Halye to see exotic bird life and more.
- Hayle has bowling at county skittles and a go-cart racing circuit.

Heritage:
- Hayle was once the centre of industry, although long gone, Hayle's industrial past has earned World Heritage Site status.
- Visit St Michael's Mount.
- Go to Pendeen, to see what life was really like for Cornish minors at Geevor and visit a working engine house at Levant.
Wildlife
- The Hayle estuary is well known for ornithology, with RSPB reserve and purpose built hide.
- Go to the Lizard Peninsula for it great verity of fauna and flora.
A different beach every day of the week - West Cornwall is well know for its wonderful sandy beaches, there are so many in easy reach of Kosy Kot you could visit a different beach everyday of the week - even if you stay a fortnight!
